TickPlex Basic IgG/IgM test by ArminLabs

Sale price$375.00 CAD

The TickPlex Basic IgG/IgM panel is a specialized antibody screening designed to detect immune responses specifically to Borrelia, the bacteria responsible for Lyme disease. Unlike conventional Lyme tests that may only assess a single strain, TickPlex Basic uses sensitive ELISA technology to screen for antibodies against multiple Borrelia species associated with Lyme borreliosis.

This test measures both IgM antibodies, which may indicate a more recent or active immune response, and IgG antibodies, which suggest past exposure or longer-term immune memory.

TickPlex Basic testing helps assess:

• Exposure to Borrelia species associated with Lyme disease
• Possible recent infection (IgM antibodies)
• Past exposure or immune response (IgG antibodies)
• Investigation of symptoms that may be consistent with Lyme disease

Borrelia species included in the panel:

• Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto
• Borrelia afzelii
• Borrelia garinii

Reference Range

Results are typically reported as Negative, Borderline, or Positive for both IgM and IgG antibody responses.

What Your Results May Mean

• Positive IgM: May indicate a recent or active immune response to Borrelia.
• Positive IgG: Suggests past exposure or ongoing immune recognition of Borrelia species.
• Negative: No detectable antibodies to the Borrelia strains tested at the time of sampling.

Results should be interpreted alongside clinical symptoms and exposure history, as antibody testing reflects immune response rather than direct detection of the bacteria.
