Myeloperoxidase Antibodies, IgG
Myeloperoxidase (MPO) Antibodies, IgG testing detects antibodies directed against the enzyme myeloperoxidase, which is found in certain white blood cells. The presence of MPO antibodies is commonly associated with autoimmune vasculitis and other autoimmune conditions affecting blood vessels.
Testing MPO Antibodies (IgG) helps assess:
• ANCA-associated vasculitis
• Autoimmune blood vessel inflammation
• Microscopic polyangiitis risk
• Evaluation of unexplained inflammatory symptoms
• Monitoring certain autoimmune disorders
Reference Range (Adult)
Negative: No detectable MPO antibodies
Positive: Detectable MPO antibodies present
What Your Results May Mean
• Positive: May suggest autoimmune vasculitis or related inflammatory conditions.
• Negative: No evidence of MPO-targeted autoimmune activity.
